Meddle was released in October 1971 in the US and November in the UK. It was packaged in a sleeve that Hipgnosis partner Storm Thorgerson has said was his least favourite Pink Floyd sleeve: "I think Meddle is a much better album than its cover," he said. The cover was supposed to have been a close-up picture of a baboon's bum.
