If I click Yes, it will pop up a dialog, said: VMware Workstation does not support nested virtualization on this host. Module 'HV' power on failed. Failed to start the virtual machine. If I click No, it will said: Failed to turn on this VM. The only thing I can do is turn off the: Virtualize VT-x for this guest, but I need VT-x turn on for this.

1)disabled vt-x tech. in bios, restarted the pc, shutted down and enabled again. Nothing happend. 2) enabled Hyperv, restarted, disabled Hyperv and restarted again. Nothing happened, Windows 11 is still not able to us VT-x virtualization technology. I have even used intel processor identification utility, and even that program sees VT-X.

That CPU has VT-X but none of the newer virtualisation extensions: Intel Core2 Quad Processor Q8400S 4M Cache 2.66 GHz 1333 MHz FSB Product Specifications. It was also written a while ago, and both Microsoft and VMware may have changed things. I generally do not use Windows (exception being my work laptop, under protest, and my gaming desktop). Everything else I do, is on MacOS or Linux. I do wish there was more I could do to help, however Windows is not really in my skillset, not interests.
